The Field Trainer & Recruiter Role develops, delivers, reinforces and sustains recruting and learning solutions that build and enhance the skills, knowledge, and abilities of the frontline sales team. Builds strategic relationships that allow for on-going collaborative interactions that help identify staffing & learning gaps and potential solutionsThe role partners with Stores, Districts, Territory and Region management teams in achieving Store Staffing Goals, New Hire Performance Objective metrics, and Regional Performance Operational metrics. In partnership with the Store, District and Regional Managers:

  • Achieve store level staffing to goal targets
    • Acts as a strategic, tactical and field partner with Leadership Teams and Corp Recruiting to drive candidate flow and/or quality and identify and/or monitor candidate status to achieve store level staffing objectives.
    • Focused actions on Recruitment/Hiring Support/Candidate Flow.
  • Meet or exceed minimum New Hire Performance measurements
    • Develops, delivers, reinforces, and sustains learning solutions that build and enhance the skills, knowledge, and abilities of the new frontline sales team to deliver on targeted goals.
    • Focused actions on 90 Day Ramp/Visits/Training.
  • Meet or exceed minimum Region Level Performance Objectives
    • Builds strategic relationships that allow for on-going collaborative interactions that help identify learning gaps, provides potential solutions and partnership with leadership to execute against tactical level actions and deliverable results.
    • Focused actions on Training Compliance/Training Execution/Cornerstone/ Speed to Market support.

Responsibilities

  • Recruiting Focus

    • Work with Corp Recruiting on open positions and sources for applicants/resumes using various systems and platforms
    • Helps coordinates candidate interviews with hiring managers
    • Partners with leadership to ensure open positions are filled in a timely manner
    • Reviews ATS to identify candidate flow and candidate disposition status to help guide Hiring Manager on next steps in the recruiting and interviews processes.
    • Reviews new hire requests and all required interview documentation for completion and/or consistency
    • Regularly calibrates selection standards with hiring managers
    • Ensures candidate engagement during the recruitment process and answers candidate inquiries
    • Prescreens applicants daily, interviews applicants using behavioral interviewing techniques to ensure candidate quality, and properly disposes each candidate in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
    • Creates and updates job campaigns as needed
    • Generates standard and ad hoc sourcing, recruitment, and retention reports
    • Partner with leadership and Corp Recruiting on social media employer branding
    • Coordinate’s recruitment fairs for all markets and coordinates with market leaders for guidance
    • Coordinate campus recruiting for all markets and coordinates with market leaders for guidance

    Trainer Focus

    • Prepares for and conducts new hire training classes
    • Utilizes traditional Instructor Led Training (ILT), Virtual Instructor led Training (VILT) and On-the-job Training (OTJ) practices to train a diverse audience in both size of group and experience
    • Promotes an open and supportive learning environment that fosters knowledge transfer, competency, and practical application of desired skills or behavioral changes
    • Provides on-the-job training to frontline employees by providing model training objectives in a live retail setting
    • Schedules and attends regular store visits with Regional Leadership teams
    • Collaborates with field leaders and prepares them for cascade training
    • Participates in conference calls and meetings with field leadership
    • Identifies learning solutions based on feedback, observations, business performance, and training completion reporting
    • Provides recommendations and creates tools to integrate new learning solutions into the existing field operations plan

    Other Duties

    • Performs other related duties as assigned
    • Ad-hoc Store, District and Regional Managers partnership/strategic support as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma with six (6) years of retail experience, an associate’s degree with four (4) years of retail experience, or a bachelor’s degree
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • The required availability for this position must meet the needs of the retail industry with Saturday’s being a mandatory day scheduled.

Preferred Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Three (3) years of sales training experience
  • Retail management experience
  • Experience facilitating effective and engaging presentations using a variety of methods
  • Experience facilitating learning to a diverse audience with a variety of leadership and learning styles
  • Experience reading, analyzing and discussing possible action plans based on business performance metrics
  • Consultative sales and sales management experience in a customer-focused and operationally excellent retail environment or in fields involving consumer technology, applications and content
